Dr. Mavani is an invasive cardiologist and assistant professor of medicine who provides inpatient cardiology services at Community Memorial Healthcenter in South Hill, Virginia.
Originally from Shakhpur, India, Dr. Mavani earned his medical degree from Medical College Baroda, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India, in 2003. He completed his internal medicine residency in 2012 and his fellowship in cardiovascular disease in 2015, both at The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Marvani is board certified in internal medicine, general cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and vascular cardiology. He possesses expertise in cardiac catheterization, pacemaker and implantable cardioverter defibrillator checks, holter and event monitors, implantable loop recorders, transesophageal echocardiograms, transthoracic echocardiograms, cardioversion, nuclear cardiology and vascular diagnostic cardiology. His research interests include diastolic heart failure and pulmonary hypertension.
Dr. Marvani is a member of the American Medical Association, the National Board of Echocardiography, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and the Society of Vascular Ultrasound. He was made a fellow of the American College of Physicians and an associate of the American College of Cardiology in 2015.
